What it is

“Only the tissues know”

So says Jean-Pierre Barral — the French osteopath who developed Visceral Manipulation. The method works with the mobility of the internal organs: the liver, the kidneys, the intestines, the bladder, the lungs — and with the way they move in relation to one another and to the surrounding tissues.

With a very gentle touch the therapist looks for the tensions, adhesions and scars that restrict that movement. When a restriction is released, the function of the organ improves, pain subsides and the overall balance of the body is restored. The method is used for back and pelvic pain, digestive and respiratory disorders, post-surgical scars and the after-effects of trauma — in adults and in children alike.

Representation

The only Institute representative in Lithuania

Integrative Therapy and Training Center is the official and sole representative of The Barral Institute in Lithuania. This means that the trainings held in Vilnius are the same ones held in fifty other countries: the same program, the same Institute-certified instructors, the same certificates.

Graduates are listed in the international practitioner directory IAHP.com.

When choosing a training it is worth checking whether it belongs to the Barral Institute program: only its levels are credited when you continue your studies in other countries, and only they lead to CVTP and CVMP certification.
