Official Institute trainings in Lithuania — from the foundations of the abdominal cavity through to international certification.
So says Jean-Pierre Barral — the French osteopath who developed Visceral Manipulation. The method works with the mobility of the internal organs: the liver, the kidneys, the intestines, the bladder, the lungs — and with the way they move in relation to one another and to the surrounding tissues.
With a very gentle touch the therapist looks for the tensions, adhesions and scars that restrict that movement. When a restriction is released, the function of the organ improves, pain subsides and the overall balance of the body is restored. The method is used for back and pelvic pain, digestive and respiratory disorders, post-surgical scars and the after-effects of trauma — in adults and in children alike.
Integrative Therapy and Training Center is the official and sole representative of The Barral Institute in Lithuania. This means that the trainings held in Vilnius are the same ones held in fifty other countries: the same program, the same Institute-certified instructors, the same certificates.
Graduates are listed in the international practitioner directory IAHP.com.
The levels follow one another — each builds on the previous one. All trainings are held in person, in English with translation into Lithuanian; the course materials are so far available in English only.
A valid healthcare license, VM1–VM4 and LT1 completed, five case studies, a theory test and a practical and oral examination with an Institute examiner.
A valid CVTP, VM5 and VM6 completed, five more case studies, a theory test and a comprehensive practical, oral and written examination.
To maintain certified therapist status, at least 24 hours of Institute-approved continuing education must be completed every four years. Both levels are entered in the international practitioner directory IAHP.com.
